Overview
This program will take you around the most famous sightseeing in Giza, the great Pyramids. The Giza pyramids are the only survived monument from the seven wonders of the world, a must-see and experience whilst in Egypt.
DESERT RETREAT
Expansive, majestic, arid, boundless, stunning; the desert, in all its contrasts, hot and cold, depleting and nourishing, bright and dark, does not leave one indifferent. Devoid of the constant distractions of our modern societies, the vastness, quietness and infinite beauty and variety of the desert is an ideal space to reconnect to oneself and to the universal self. The desert invariably teaches us core spiritual lessons. Life, beauty, and peace are found in what first appears to be long gone, harsh and empty. Mirages teach us that the veil of our ego covers our true Self, which is found within. Desert oases are a testimony of our inner resources and divine power, and the pitch-black silent night slowly reveals the amazing desert sky and its thousand stars and moon, a testimony of the existence of light and beauty even in our darkest times.
We invite you to a spiritual retreat in the Egyptian Western Sahara. Our highly experienced Bedouin guides will bring you into the most amazing areas of the desert and set up the camp, where yoga, meditation and sadhana practices will take place. They will take care of everything: food, tents, cooking, transportation, water … You will only need comfortable clothes: we recommend pale color, long and loose clothes for the day time, and warm socks, gloves, and underlayers for the night, especially in the winter months of December to February. Sunglasses, something to cover the head and sunblock are must-haves, and don’t forget your swimsuit to enjoy the healing waters of the desert springs!
